Contraindications

General Contraindications

Please avoid a session if you have:

  • Fever or active infection

  • Open wounds, cuts, or skin inflammation

  • Herpes (cold sores)

  • Rosacea or very sensitive skin

  • Severe vascular skin (strong couperose)

  • Acute allergic reactions

  • Cancer (unless in full remission and with doctor’s approval)

  • Pregnancy — 1st trimester or high-risk

  • Enlarged lymph nodes or tonsillitis

  • Blood or circulation problems (e.g. phlebitis, atherosclerosis, risk of bleeding)

  • Recent trauma, hemorrhage, or swelling of limbs

  • Heart conditions or high blood pressure (only gentle massage possible)

After aesthetic procedures, please wait:

  • Botox — 3–4 weeks

  • Fillers — 4–12 weeks (depending on the type)

  • Thread lifting — 6 months

  • Chemical peel — 2–4 weeks

  • Microneedling / Dermapen — 2–3 weeks

  • Laser or RF treatments — 2–3 weeks or until fully healed

  • Plastic surgery — 6 months and only with doctor’s approval

Specific Contraindications

Kobido

  • Avoid after permanent makeup until the skin is fully healed (2–4 weeks).

Transbuccal Massage

  • Not recommended with fresh dental extractions, implants (wait 1 month), gum infections, or orthodontic pain.

Face Taping

  • Do not use if you have allergy to adhesives or very thin, delicate skin.
